It all started when I saw an old children's book at a library book sale. Linnea's Windowsill Garden tells in a gentle, cheerful tone that we can grow things with pure joy. Linnea visits Monet's garden in the next book. In the little movie based on the book, Linnea mentions 'that book' and asks her neighbor friend to let her look at it again and again. Monet' life is an inspiration itself even without his works of art; Monet made the world more beautiful than what it was before. The author Clair Joyce keeps a low profile, but she was somewhat related to Monet. I am so glad that I now have my own copy of 'Claude Monet: Life at Giverny.' I hold the book in my hands and slowly turn the pages; I sigh and contemplate on life and the world with aspiration and content.
